Because I Said So

Life In General

It's been a busy couple of weeks. I spent a week traveling, then returned to participate in Walk America on Saturday. The weather was perfect and my fund-raising efforts went well, so overall good times were had. On Monday, my baby turned three! Well, okay, so she's not *my* baby, but still. She's really my eldest grand niece. I can't believe how fast the time flies.

The craziness continues on the work-front, serving as a daily reminder of just exactly how insanely litigious our society is. It's really rather sickening if you ask me. I suppose that it just reinforces the fact that I will never understand some people. I will never possess the ability to comprehend people who simply cannot take responsibility for themselves. Some people are so self-centered that they absolutely do not believe that it matters how their actions effects those around them. I have no sympathy for them. A couple of these people have made their way into my life at some point, but fortunately I have managed to purge myself of them. Who needs assholes like that? I am very fortunate to have been raised to be a more understanding and compassionate person than that. I am secure enough in myself that I don't need to dump my crap onto other people to make myself feel better.

Well, enough of my ramblings for now. I'm sure I'll have more to say later in the week.
