Ugh.
I've been laid up with a cold this week. Thankfully, it seems to be a short one. I did manage to land a great job interview with Apple next week. I hope it works out 'cause it would be an awesome opportunity. If anything, I'm over-qualified for the position I'm interviewing for, but hey, it's a foot in the door that will hopefully lead to something better down the road. I feel that there are a lot of changes on the horizon. I'm really hoping that the pieces of my life are finally falling into place for me. I've cleared some major hurdles lately, but I know that there are more that lie ahead. I guess there always will be. Isn't that what life is all about? If we didn't have hurdles, life would be boring and we'd never learn anything along the way. Then again, I suppose that some people just never learn anyway. I vow to NOT be one of those people.Eh-hem. Moving on. I got my Halloween costume today. Not very creative, but it'll do the trick. I don't really have any parties to attend this year, but that's okay. I'll keep it PG for the kiddies. ;) I've always loved Halloween and used to really get into it. For the last few years though, I've just mostly ignored it. I'm not sure why. I've been very dismissive about all holidays in general, including my birthday. Heck, I only have two pictures to prove the existence of my 30th birthday, and that one is supposed to be a milestone! So, I've decided to make an effort and try to have a little fun again. Even if it is rated PG!
On a side note, I have to share my pain. During this lovely little cold that I've been battling, courtesy of my eldest lovely sister, I've the oh-so-fun experience of febrile dreams. Those fever dreams are disturbing and disorienting in their own right, so why not toss a crazy cat into the mix? Apparently, her new favorite thing is to ferociously attack my hair at 2am. Not fun when you are dreaming about aliens.
